When is the hike?

Saturday, June 4,2016
10:00am to approximately 12:00pm (rain date - June 5th)

Where do we meet?

At the main parking lot of Old Mine Park at 9:45 Am
Please Note: Parking Requirement of Trumbull Residency has been waived for the day -
Out of Towners WILL NOT get a ticket

Where will we hike?

We will explore history and nature of the park, visiting the various mine remnants as well as noting some of the unusual scenery and plant life.

What can we learn?

We will learn about the local geology by exploring mining excavation areas. We will learn about the history of the park including old mining and recreational activities. We will learn about the natural world by studying native plants and animals and exploring ridges, valleys, rivers and streams. We will clean up trash and do minor trail maintenance as well.

Hike Leaders: K. Malone and J. Lauria (additional guides R. Coffey and J. Winschel)
Difficulty: Moderate (Gently rising/temperate terrain with occasional obstacles)
Ages: All ages. Ages 6 - 12 require a caregiver present.
