Trumbull Connecticut is blessed with the beautiful Pequonnock River Valley State Park. Commonly referred to as simply "Trumbull" to the many mountain bikers who ride there, this green belt follows the Pequonnock River north and south.

On the west side of the park there is an abandoned railroad grade that serves as a level trail about three miles in length. The east side of the park has a wide variety of terrain and has been a haven for mountain bikers and hikers with its rocky stream beds, tough climbs and numerous rock drops.

A colorful history of now long gone places such as an amusement park, a railroad ice house, a papermill and even a tungsten mine make it an interesting adventure with or without a bike!

Interactive map of Trumbull trail area features zoomable (flash-authored) map overlays from 4 different eras and (pop-up) location-specific photos.
