Tarrywile Park
Danbury, Connecticut
Description
There's not a lot of flow here but if you live nearby, it's a scenic place to ride. The trails around the pond near the entrance are fairly easy but fun and the abandoned castle is very cool. You can find that at the top of the hill in the east off the Orange.
Getting up to the Beacon/Lookout there's some hike-a-bike on the Yellow. Follow the Red trail around the right side of Back Pond for challenging technical trails. Lots of off camber and roots.
Print out the Park Map link below. It's easy to get lost if you don't know your way around.
Quick summary of difficulty:
- Medium >Red and Yellow
- Hard > Orange and Purple (Orange gets muddy)
- Easy >White
